Women’s organization undergo seminar on gender and development

Congressman Marvey Mariño and Mayor Beverley Dimacuha spoke before the city’s Kalipunan ng Liping Pilipina (KALIPI) presidents attending the Gender and Development (GAD) seminar- workshop conducted by the city government on October 26 and 27 at the Teachers’ Conference Center (TCC).

The mayor said that this seminar aims to enhance the knowledge of women on gender and development and to address gender issues that affect women’s welfare. The seminar also helps the KALIPI presidents in the formulation of GAD’s plan using the Cluster Approach System wherein all issues and concerns regarding women in all the barangays comprising a cluster are given attention and action.

The two officials assured the KALIPI members of their support to give them more livelihood projects and training workshops on women empowerment. (PIO Batangas City)
