MPBL: Batangas City hosts Bataan in Quarterfinals

The Batangas City Tanduay Athletics intends to start strong as it prepares to battle the Gary David led-Bulacan Defenders for the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Anta Rajah Cup 2018 when they collide tomorrow, March 20, at the Batangas City Coliseum.

Game starts at 7:00 pm with the Quezon City Capitals gearing for its quarterfinals bid against the Valenzuela Classics in the 1st game.

Finishing with an 8-1 win-loss record, the Athletics is expected to enjoy home court advantage throughout the playoffs.

Expected to lead the way for Batangas City are former pros Val Acuña, Lester Alvarez and big man Jhaymo Eguilos as well as Letran ace forward Bong Quinto and former Jose Rizal University hotshot Teytey Teodoro, while the Defenders will rely heavily on ex-PBA scoring champion Gary David.

The games will be aired live on Sports and Action Channel 23 while it will be free admission for those who will watch the games in the coliseum. (PIO Batangas City)
