HISTORICAL DATA OF MALALIM
1. Present official name of the barrio - Malalim
2. Popular name of the barrio - Malalim (this barrio is a group of sitios which were previously sitio of Mahabang Dahilig, Sirang Lupa and San Isidro.
3. The barrio derived its name from the fact that this place is geographically deep.
4. This barrio was established during the incumbency of the late Congressman Numeriano Babao. It was formerly inaugurated on December 15, 1957 with Valentin Ebora as its first barrio Lieutenant.
5. According to old folks here, the original families of this barrio are : Rafael Caig, Justo Panganiban, Valentin Ebora, Isabelo Hernandez, Sotero Ramirez and others who had migrated to other place.
6. These are the list of past teniente del barrio: Valentin Ebora, Justo Panganiban, Felipe Panganiban, and Simeon.
7. No known records of event took place during the Spanish regime, American and Japanese time for this barrio was just recently established. At present the barrio people here are politically acted. Majority of the people belongs to the protestant sect. Most families are sending their children to school. The chief courses of livelihood of the people of this place are farming and handicraft like bakery.
