A shorter and simpler Christmas Kick-off program was held yesterday afternoon at the Plaza Mabini led by Mayor Eduardo Dimacuha, city officials and department heads.

 

A shorter and simpler Christmas Kick-off program was held yesterday afternoon at the Plaza Mabini led by Mayor Eduardo Dimacuha, city officials and department heads.

With the theme “Pagbibigayan ang nagbibigay Ningning sa Pasko sa Lungsod ng Batangas,” hundreds of day care children dressed in beautiful Christmas costumes received food treat and gifts from the city government. They were also entertained by Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus and by the mascots from different fast food chains in Batangas City.

After the singing of Ang Pasko ay Sumapit, and after the children made a countdown from 10, Mayor Dimacuha simultaneously switched on the lights of the big Christmas tree, street lanterns, and other Christmas decorations, officially signalling the start of the Christmas celebration in Batangas City.
