THE BARRIO GULOD
The barrio Gulod is extending four and a half kilometers eastward from the city of Batangas.
During the olden times, according to the old folks, the former name of this barrio was so called in tagalog “Bulihan” . Such name was derived from the tree “Buli” ; which grows in abundance in that place.During those days the barrio people was fond of drinking tuba which was staken from Buli trees. For that reason, the trees grow lesser.
Nowadays such name was not applicable. This barrio is in between high places, the Northern part and the Southern part. Due to this location that differs from other barrio, the name Gulod was derived based from its high location.
