LOOK: The City Environment Office (City ENRO) conducted an operation to remove the crown-of-thorns starfish (COTs) in barangays Pagkilatan. Ilijan, San Agustin Kanluran and San Agapito Isla Verde to prevent the destruction of the corals in the marine protected areas, March 21-22.

Said activity is part of the celebration of World Water Day 2022, conducted in partnership with Malampaya Foundation, CDRRMO, Philippine Coast Guard, Batangas Divers Association, Bantay Dagat, Baraca Dive Camp, Councilor Gery Dela Roca and Playa Montaṅa. About 1500 pieces of COTs were harvested in the said areas.
