Radio Stations

At present, there are four (4) radio stations operating in the city namely: 99.1 DWAM-FM - Spirit FM; 104.7 DWEY-FM - Brigada News FM; 95.9 DWAL FM - Radio Totoo Batangas and 91.9 Air 1FM.

These radio stations provide varied entertainment/information programs for the residents of the city and other nearby localities within the province.


Courier Services

There are nineteen (19) courier / Messengerial services companies that are operating in the city which includes the A-Best Express, Inc., ADSIA Logistics, Inc., 1023 Parcel Handling Services, Catena Logistics Services, Entrego Express Corporation, JRS Business Corporation, LBC Express, Inc., PH Global Jet Express, Inc., RDP Courier Services, QT&T Courier Services, Wall Street Courier Services, Inc., Wide-Wide World Express Corporation, and YTO Express (Philippines) Technology Group Corporation.

 
Telephone Systems/Telecommunication Towers/Facilities

The Philippine Long-Distance Telephone Company (PLDT) and Globe Telecom Inc. provide landline phone services in the city. Additionally, mobile phone services are presently being provided by Smart and Globe Telecoms. With one hundred fifty-six (156) telecommunication tower /facilities, Batangas City residents can now avail of internet service right in the comfort of their homes, offices and in the different internet cafés within the city. There are five (5) internet service providers in the city which includes the Batangas CATV, Globe Telecommunications, Integrated Network Services, PLDT Company and Smart Communications, Inc.

 

Business Process Outsourcing

There are six (6) call center agencies operating in the city providing services ranging from technical support to telemarketing. (Table 86.b)


Publication

All daily circulated national newspapers, tabloids and magazines from Metro Manila are readily available in the city. There are also nine (9) locally published newspapers like the Batangas Magiting Newsletter, Pahayagang BALIKAS, Diyaryo Balisong, Diyaryo Veritas, Headlines News Today, Puntong Ala-Eh Newsletter, Sun Star People’s Courier, Tala Balita, The Batangas Post, which are being published regularly.
