On-going Infra Projects in Batangas City

The construction of more public school buildings in preparation for the K-12 program and the repair of the Calumpang Dike are on-going.

These school projects being undertaken by the city government to be used in the opening of classes in June 2015 are the 3-storey, 15- classroom building at Libjo National High School and Sta. Rita National High School.

These school projects being undertaken by the city government to be used in the opening of classes in June 2015 are the 3-storey, 15- classroom building at Libjo National High School and Sta. Rita National High School.

Also being constructed in the Batangas National High School are 3-storey, 15- classroom building; 2-storey, 10-classroom bldg. and 2-storey, 8-classroom bldg.

Also on-going is the construction of the 1st phase of the 3-storey Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas (CLB) building at the Batangas City Sports Center Compound. According to the plan, the CLB building has complete facilities such as 27 classrooms, AVR, computer, science and electronic laboratories, library with 400-student capacity, ramps for the Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) among others.

After the approval of the DPWH, the city government started the construction of the immediate wall protection of the Calumpang Dike which was also destroyed by Typhoon Glenda. This project applies modern technology to ensure the stability of the dike and the safety of the people.

City Engineer Adela Hernandez conducted the inspection of these projects last week.

Meanwhile, the construction of the footbridge from P. Panganiban St. to Pallocan West is scheduled to start next month. The city government is also studying the possibility of constructing a third bridge.
