Batangas City makikinabang sa proyekto para sa mga batang bulag at bingi

Naging recipient ang Batangas City ng Project Gabay (Guide): Strengthening Inclusive Education for Blind/Deaf Children na ipinatutupad ng Resources for the Blind, Inc.

Layunin ng proyektong ito na sinusuportahan ng United States Agency for International Development (USAID) na mapalawak ang access sa quality education ng mga batang may visual at hearing impairment kasama na ang mga batang may deafblindness and Multiple Disabilities with Visual Impairment (MDVT) at mapalakas ang netwporks sa pamamagitan ng “holistic approach”.

Kaugnay nito, nagkaroon ng presentation ang Project Gabay Team sa Office of the Mayor upang talakayin ang proyekto at kung paano magkakaroon ng collaboration ang pamahalaang lungsod at ang Project team hinggil sa pagpapatupad ng gawaing ito.

Bukod kay Mayor Beverley Dimacuha, lumahok din sa presentation sina City Social Welfare and Development Officer Mila Española, City Health Officer Rosanna Barrion, at leaders of organizations for people with disabilities.

Ang Project Team ay binubuo nila Dr. Yolanda Quijano, Gabay Chief of Party; Dr. Hubert Ramos, technical consultant, Better Hearing Phil., Inc., two project staff at Executive Director Amy Mojica.
